The Office of the Lake Charles City Prosecutor handles misdemeanor prosecutions within the confines of the City of Lake Charles and the Ward 3 jurisdiction of Lake Charles City Court.  The City Prosecutor's Office reviews all citations, arrest reports, zoning enforcement actions, occupational licensing enforcement actions, and animal control matters presented for prosecution.  The City Prosecutor's Office are authorized to accept, reject, or amend any charge or enforcement action presented for prosecution.

All court dates are assigned by the City Prosecutor's Office. The standard schedule for Court conducted by the Prosecutor's Office is:

• Monday             Traffic Arraignments
• Tuesday            Traffic Trials
• Wednesday       Non-Traffic Criminal Arraignments and Trials
